Treatment with Flexibility
Home Therapies
Home dialysis gives patients more flexibility with their day-to-day schedules. Unlike in-center treatments, patients participating in home dialysis don’t have to travel to a clinic multiple times a week. Instead you are trained by a Registered Nurse to administer your treatment from the comforts of home.
By teaching dialysis patients how to administer their treatments, home therapy programs support those who balance their treatments with work, family, travel and leisure.

Two Treatment Options
Peritoneal Dialysis
During the Peritoneal Dialysis, or PD, a warmed dialysate solution enters the abdominal cavity through a small catheter and absorbs wastes from the blood.
Depending on the type of PD, treatment can be performed during waking or sleeping hours.
Home Hemodialysis
Hemodialysis involves accessing the bloodstream through a surgically-prepared site. Blood passes through a special filter of a dialysis machine, be cleansed and returned to the body.
Blood is usually accessed through a site in a patient’s forearm.
